Biography
Dr.S.Gomathinayagam is now Director General, National Institute of Wind Energy-NIWE (C-WET the old name), Chennai, India. He obtained his PhD in ocean Engineering, from IIT, Madras, 2004, MS in structures from IIT, Madras 1982, B.E from Regional Engineering College, Trichirapalli Madras University, Tamil Nadu, India, Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India) and Now since 2009 He is working as an institutional Head/CEO of NIWE (C-WET the old name). He worked as a Scientist-Dy.Director in Structural engineering Research Centre, CSIR, Chennai, 1983–2009 Structural Enegineering- Software development - offshore-onshore-power-navy-space-blast-impact-wind-wave-current- Wind turbine fatigue loads measurement and design - Towers - dynamic - static and fatigue designs. Research and technology management.
Research Interest
He has 36 years of research experience, consultancy, FEM Software devep.and static/dynamic/stochastic analysis of structures onshore/offshore space/navy/industrial/Wind Energy & Solar Energy renewables sector. Presently He is looking for Networking.
